With your Caring and Sharing hearts, Helping Hands has been able to serve some of the more vulnerable families/individuals in Central Kenya - despite not being able to take a group of volunteers due to Covid. Helping Hands accomplished the following because of your Moral, Spiritual and Financial support. All those impacted by these accomplishments are SO VERY GRATEFUL TO EACH OF YOU!
- Twelve (12) New Houses constructed with combo pit latrine/bathing room.
- Two - 2 stall Pit Latrines and four - 3 stall Bathing Rooms constructed at the Samuro Village.
- Constructed a Boys and a Girls Dormitory at the SEMADEP Primary School, including 24bunk beds with mattresses and sheets.
- Completed significant renovations at the Maasai Sunset Safari Camp – dining hall addition, new “tents” for guests, and fire pit overlook area.
- Provided all of the Samuro Village families (who needed) with 25 beds and mattress.
- Two new swing and monkey bar sets for the SEMADEP Primary School and one new swing and monkey bar set for the Morning Star Academy Primary School.
- Completed classrooms 6, 7 and 8 as well as the Library and Computer lab at the SEMADEP Primary School.
- Signed Agreements to begin the following projects in January-February 2022:
- Ru Chu Dispensary – adding two dental exam rooms
- Akurinu African Mission Church of the Holy Ghost – completing their Prayer Room
- Morning Star Academy Primary School – Constructing the first classroom – 18’ X24’
- SEMADEP Primary School – Constructing a school pit latrine as well as a combo bathroom/bathing room for the Boys and the Girls Dormitories
- Purchased 80 egg-laying chickens for the Cheshire Home for Disabled Girls, including all the necessary feeding equipment.
- Sponsored numerous students for their Primary, Secondary, Technical, University education.
